Almost every fence that leans, sags or drifts out of line failed below ground rather than above it. We dig every post to depth and concrete it in, then step or rake the run to follow your ground so the line stays true from one end of the boundary to the other.
Battens set to an even gap with the fixings hidden and the ends capped, so the boundary reads as one clean run rather than a row of separate bays.

Tongue and groove or feather edge on a properly framed structure, taken up to the height you're allowed, so it blocks the view and still looks considered from both sides.
Brick piers and a low plinth wall with timber panels set between them, all off a proper concrete footing. You get the presence of a masonry wall for a fraction of the cost, and the timber can be changed years later without touching the brickwork.
Featheredge panels in slotted concrete posts, sat on concrete gravel boards and stepped to follow the fall of your ground. No timber touches the soil, so there is nothing down there to rot out.
