Modern garden transformation in Cheltenham. Multi-level design with limestone paving, maximising space in a small terraced garden.
When Abi got in touch, she was looking to transform her tired concrete garden into a modern, functional space she could enjoy in time for summer. The property is a terraced house in Cheltenham with access only through the house, which made logistics more challenging, but nothing we couldn’t handle.

The existing garden was entirely concrete, with a poor layout and an awkward slope that made the space feel even smaller. Access was limited, and the design didn’t make practical use of the area. Overall, it felt outdated, restrictive, and unusable as a comfortable outdoor space.
Our goal was to maximise every inch of the garden while creating a clean, modern design.
To improve both usability and aesthetics, we redesigned the garden into four distinct levels instead of two, allowing for a smoother transition through the space while adding depth and interest. Brickwork was installed to retain the new levels and define the layout, creating a much more considered and functional design.

We started by removing the raised flower bed and pushing the main patio area back to the boundary wall, immediately opening up the top section. We then extended the patio forward to create a strong central feature and make the most of the available space.
The project was completed over the Easter weekend in just four days, ensuring minimal disruption to the client.
The finished garden is a complete transformation. The client chose beautiful limestone paving, which works perfectly with the clean lines and multi-level design. The addition of cladded steps and varied levels has completely changed the feel of the space, turning it into a modern, practical garden that feels significantly larger and far more inviting.
A fantastic result and a great example of how thoughtful design can completely transform even the most challenging spaces.

Our garden fence was damaged in a storm in December and a poor attempt to repair it by another company had left it sagging. The guys from Plex Procurement Group quickly worked out what needed to be done to fix and stabilise it and we are very pleased with the result.

Patrick and his team came out to level our lawn out in harsh weather. Moving all the soil/mud by wheelbarrow to the front driveway. It was completed efficiently and at low cost. I would recommend Plex to my friends and family. We have them coming along to do some more work soon.
