Cheltenham Garden Modernisation

Connor

Project Overview

When Connor and Ian reached out, their garden was in desperate need of a transformation. Overrun with dense shrubs, decayed decking, and a severe rat infestation, the space was nearly inaccessible and completely out of sync with their sleek, modern home in Cheltenham. They envisioned a contemporary, low-maintenance outdoor space that would not only enhance their property but also eliminate the persistent issues they faced.

Over six weeks, we carried out a complete garden overhaul, installing 45 tons of premium materials, including elegant white porcelain slabs, black block pavers, and a rendered flower bed with integrated lighting. A sturdy brick wall was also constructed to prevent future infestations. Despite the challenges—navigating a narrow driveway, coordinating deliveries, and manually transporting materials through the house due to restricted access—our team delivered a stunning transformation.

The Problem

Connor and Ian approached me with a significant problem: a severe rat infestation and a wildly overgrown, outdated garden. The space was cluttered with decayed sleepers, rotting decking, and dense, unruly bushes and shrubs—so overgrown that reaching the back of the garden was nearly impossible. They wanted a complete transformation, opting for a sleek, contemporary design that would complement their beautiful modern home in the heart of Cheltenham.

Our Solution

We undertook a complete overhaul of the garden, preserving only the 3 acres of land and two mature trees—everything else was transformed. We installed 45 tons of premium materials, including 120 elegant white porcelain slabs complemented by sleek black block pavers for the pathway. The design was further elevated with a beautifully rendered flower bed featuring integrated lighting, a stylish sleeper seat, and a robust brick wall to effectively prevent rats from entering.
The result was a sophisticated, modern garden that perfectly aligned with Connor’s vision of a low-maintenance, contemporary outdoor space. The carefully positioned lighting added a stunning final touch, enhancing both the atmosphere and functionality of the garden, bringing the entire transformation to life.

Project Execution

The entire project spanned 6 weeks, made all the more challenging by the fact that every bit of material had to be carried through the house—using a digger was simply not an option due to the multiple steps throughout the property. Our team tackled the job with sheer determination, completing all the heavy lifting and groundwork entirely by hand.
Despite the logistical hurdles of a narrow driveway on Cheltenham’s bustling high street and the complexities of coordinating materials and skips, our meticulous planning and unwavering commitment allowed us to stay on schedule and deliver exceptional results.
Connor entrusted us with complete creative freedom to transform his garden, and we brought that vision to life with precision and care. The outcome was a flawless execution of our design, showcasing our team’s resilience, expertise, and dedication.

Results

From start to finish, the transformation is nothing short of remarkable—it's hard to believe it's the same garden. Our goal was not only to enhance the property's value but also to create a beautiful, functional outdoor space that our clients can truly enjoy.
This project demanded hard work, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail, but every ounce of effort was worth it. Seeing the stunning final result and knowing we exceeded our clients’ expectations made it all worthwhile.
